I photographed these new parents while they were expecting, and here they are with their new little girl... I am always still amazed when I get to see a couple become a family. It's such a privilege, and I never get tired of it!

Lincoln is ONE! {First Birthday Portraits}

I photographed this little guy's older brother as a newborn, and then I photographed Lincoln as a newborn. And now he's a big boy (and wow is he a BIG boy! 27 pounds!). I love taking little boys this age outside. They feel less confined and a little more natural ( and Linc's eyes are REALLY this blue...no Photoshop needed!)

I hold my breath a little every time a parent of a new baby says, "All she does is sleep," because sure enough, those little boogers LOVE to prove them wrong! Adorable Miss Maisy was one of those...but with lots of convincing (and, finally, a super-tight swaddling!) we got what we wanted!

I have lots of babies being born and coming to the studio these days! Here is beautiful Caroline; her session will always stand out to me as one of my favorites. Caroline's safe and healthy arrival is indeed a blessing and a victory for her parents and I feel privileged and honored to have photographed this sweet and lovely little soul in her first weeks of life!

Riley has been visiting the studio since she was a tiny baby of three months, and she has always been one of those kids who makes me laugh. Now, she's two years old and funnier than ever, plus she is really FAST! We did some studio work, and when she got bored with that, we headed outside. I brought out this little parasol I picked up in Chinatown in NYC last weekend and Miss Riley immediately knew what to do!

Who's afraid of three little boys? {Children's photo session}

I have to admit, when I found out this session was going to focus on three little boys, I was a bit nervous. Boys almost always give me a run for my money at a photo session... and multiply that times three? Yikes! But all my fears vanished when this sweet trio came to the studio. What good little guys they were! They didn't fight or bicker, no one threw anything, no one cried, and, (dare I say it?), these guys acted as if they actually liked each other! Can't ask for better than that!

Because Father's Day is coming... {maternity portrait photo session}

There is a daddy-to-be somewhere in the Baltimore area who is going to be sooooo surprised on Father's Day when he opens his gift and sees these stunning photos of his beautifully pregnant wife. Yay for great surprises!
