Look at the head of hair on this sweetie! He really would have preferred to have stayed cuddled up to his momma this day, but he humored us for a few minutes here and there so we could create some memories of these special, fleeting days. Thanks, little man!

Prepare to be amazed {Birth Yoga Teacher Pregnancy Portraits, Baltimore}
Heather is amazing! I photographed this birth yoga teacher ON her due date and she asked to do a few yoga poses. I never guessed she would do a HEAD STAND! I secretly held my breath as she got into position, thinking we just might end up with a funny story about her water breaking at the studio! But all went fine...look for her new baby soon!

Newborn Princess {infant photography session Baltimore}
I hesitate to even post this image of this sweet baby in her girlie-girlie dress. I say this because, nine times out of ten, newborns don't photograph well in clothes. The clothes tend to swallow them up and look odd. For this reason, I almost always try to discourage clothes for infants. But Miss Victoria here pulled it off like the princess she is, so I just couldn't resist posting it!

"We interrupt this regularly scheduled blog..." {Baltimore Children's Photographer Blair Blanks}
"...to bring you some shameless flaunting of my cute kiddos!"
Clients are always saying to me, "I bet you have a million pictures of your kids." Well, not as many as you would think. I burned the older one out on pictures years ago (he went through a phase where he refused to make any kind of eye contact when he knew I had the camera out). But now that he has baby sister to pose with, he's much more cooperative. I am trying very hard not to burn her out, too, but this morning, with the neighborhood looking so nice and "springy" I begged for five minutes right before school. The stars aligned and I actually got some of the two of them together looking somewhat happy! It's gonna be a good day!
So here they are, my loves of my life (OK, the other one is off on a business trip, but I'll get him later!)

Grayson, growing up fast (baby portraits Balitmore)
Grayson is one of the sweetest little guys I have ever been lucky enough to photograph. I had not seen him since his newborn session, and, my, how he has grown! He was such a champ, let us do ALL sorts of backdrops and clothing changes and never complained one bit. (The stethoscope shot is a nod the "family business!")
and here he was just a few short months ago...

Quick Sneak Peek! {Baby portrait photography Maryland}
I'm hurrying to get my "to-do" list done before heading out of town for the Easter weekend, but I know this sweet nine-week-old baby girl's mom and dad are anxious to get a peek at the images from our session. They came all the way from Florida for a visit to Baltimore, and I'm so glad I was able to squeeze them in!

An all-time favorite {newborn photography Baltimore MD}
Sometimes people who have not had babies in a few years find it easy to romanticize life with a newborn. You remember the sweetness, the cute little noises, the smallness, the tenderness. What you forget is how intense it can be, how it is this indescribable sweet and exhausting mix of bliss and stress...for that reason, I LOVE this first photo from our shoot with Baby Grace. The look Grace's mom and dad are giving each other just sums it all up perfectly!
